At Pion, we use real life competency based tasks and psychometric exercises which are common practice in recruitment. The psychometric exercises are designed to give us a better understanding of how someone works, what their strengths are, and where they might need support. They’re not something you pass or fail, and they’re not used as the deciding factor in who gets the role. We make sure to explain this clearly to all candidates in advance and to let us know if they have any questions.
We’d also like to clarify that this isn’t the first time Pion has had an IT department. The role you applied for was part of a broader effort to grow and strengthen our technology function.
