I found the job posting online. I applied and reached out to some people I knew there. I had an initial phone interview with the HR recruiter about 2 weeks after I applied and was called in for an in-person interview two weeks later. The hiring manager said she would contact me in a few weeks to let me know of the decision - during which time I kept in contact with her. She never called me. I got a cursory e-mail from HR saying they selected another candidate two days ago. I was not impressed with how it was handled. The hiring manager should have reached out to me.
