After interviewing for a different position, which I did not get, I was asked to interview for a different position. Phone interview with the hiring manager went well enough and I was asked to come onsite for 4 hours of interviews with the team. Overall, most of the interviews seemed fairly average, however one team member asked questions that are ILLEGAL in California. This caught me off guard and definitely left a negative impression about the company. After the interview, I was supposed to have some time with the recruiter, who could not make the appointment. I was told that she would follow up with me the next day, but she never did. I wasn’t expecting one, given my problems with the questioning.
