Surprisingly, the interviewer (a senior person as mentioned by the HR) didnt look at the problem from Design Perspective rather he was keen on my Java proficiency. When i explained my first draft, his expectation was totally different from the problem statement. He was expecting a Job pool instead of Thread pool. A Job pool is a pool where publishers can queue their job for execution A Thread pool is a pool where a bunch of threads are available for re-utilization within an application. And the interesting part was he was expecting me to use Wait and Notify methods. Though i was in their office for an 1hr 15min, this round was just for 25minutes.
