I would be wary of applying to this firm if you want to be treated fairly or normally. I applied online and was contacted for a first-round interview with a junior team member (not HR). As far as I can tell, the company does not have an HR department or work with an outside recruiter. The interview was straightforward (with basic questions to walk through my background and how it would transfer to the role, experience with working cross-functionally, etc.) I was told that the firm wanted to move quickly, and I would hear back within a week, whether I advanced or not. They ghosted me. Almost two months after the interview, I received a blast email (see below) from someone who I didn't interview with and it seems to have been sent to every person who applied online for the role. A blast email may be a reasonable way to communicate with people who did not interview, but I've never been ghosted after interviewing for a role. It was truly an awful recruitment process - poor communication, zero feedback, and just a rude approach to treating candidates. "Dear all, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to each of you who applied for our Manager, Strategic Relations position. We received over 500 applications for this role — a reflection of both the incredible talent in this ecosystem and how strategically important and unique the role is for Quona. Going through the process underscored just how many thoughtful, mission-driven people are eager to shape the future of fintech and financial inclusion. While we ultimately moved forward with a candidate, the decision was by no means easy given the caliber of applicants. We wish we had time to meet all 500 of you and we hope you will apply for future roles or get in touch with members of the team about your interest.
