I was interviewed for an Associate Engineer position about 5 years ago. The phone interview with the HR personnel was fairly short and simple, just the basic questions of what I'm interested in and what work I'm interested in. The in-person interview was with my current manager and the previous group head, but quickly moved to just my current manager. He asked about my proficiency/willingness to learn design software and drafting skills.
