I had a rather negative experience during the interview process. I was required to wait for approximately an hour beyond the scheduled appointment time. During the interview, when I attempted to share my experiences, I felt that the associate was somewhat disengaged and not particularly receptive. At times, they appeared to be focused on their phone or laptop while I was answering questions, which gave the impression that they were not fully attentive. This made the interaction feel uncomfortable. They also repeatedly emphasised how busy the department is, which came across as somewhat discouraging. Candidates should also be prepared for a legal knowledge assessment, as the process includes a written test followed by an explanation of your answers.

Applied for practice area in Commercial/ Corporate but ended up in an interview with partners from Corporate Real Estate. Was given 30 minutes to prepare for a case study then present to the interviewers immediately when they walked in.
