The selection process was composed of 5 phases:
The first interview with a recruiter/ the company introduces itself, they ask about your professional background.
The second interview with a team member/ candidate presentation, I showed and commented some of my previous projects, they asked me about my skills, workflow, team work.
The third one home task/ I created a project from a brief, they gave me a weekend to complete the task.
Fourth interview with the team lead/ I presented and commented the creation process and solutions found behind the home task.
Fifth one with the recruiter/ few questions about notice period and salary expectations.

It was just an interview to check my level of experience and whether I had authorization to work in Portugal. The recruiter also asked about the validity of my residence permit and other things that had nothing to do with the position itself. She said that only after this stage would they analyze my portfolio.

I was approached on LinkedIn by a recruiter. We had the first call, her pace was very fast and a bit difficult to understand. After that, I sent a follow-up email and I got a no. The reason was that my portfolio did not fit the style of the company. Why was I contacted in the first place then? It was a complete waste of time.
