      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso SPREAD (Germany) nel mese di dic 2023

      Colloquio

5 interview stages: 1. Getting to know call, standard HR questions 2. Meeting VP/Lead and talking more technically 3. Homework project that takes about 12 to 16 hours 4. Meeting review of the project from 3. with a Senior/Lead 5. Meeting with CTO/VP If you are looking for the best way to spend 15+ hours and to get dismissed for some bs reason you have come to the right place Felt a bit discriminatory as I am not from Europe and specifically Germany. I was probably "invited" to the interview stages so they can increase their DEI score for the shareholders/investors, who knows.

Dear Anonymous Interview Candidate, I am sorry you had a negative experience with our interviewing process - please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused and let me also provide some clarifications to the aspects you described in your review (it's surely not an attempt to argue your opinion). - our process typically has 5 stages: 1. HR interview (company/product presentation + screening questions). 2. Technical interview with an Engineering Team Lead. 3. Challenge-based interview with a Sr. Engineer (the challenge is given as homework and tested by our developers to be made within ~3-hour frame. We are also okay with having it unfinished and discussed over the interview which is always mentioned during the 1 stage by the TA representative ). 4. 30-minute conversation with the VP or CTO. 5. 30-minute conversation with one of the Founders of SPREAD. To sum up, the whole process should take 4 hours of interviewing + ~3 hours spent on homework (for SW engineering roles). In some cases, we might rearrange the order or replace some stages e.g. to speed up the process if a candidate has another offer lined up and a deadline to accept it (so we are highly adjustable in this regard). - Employee diversity based on nationality and location: 1. 55% of SPREAD Employees are not German Nationals; 2. Employees at SPREAD come from 33 different nationalities and countries; 3. 15% of Employees at SPREAD work Remotely from outside of Germany ( 28% of Remote employees in total including also remote in Germany). Besides that employees are not limited or restricted to work remotely even if they are hybrid in Berlin. - DEI score increase?! Being a start-up our first priority is the skill and culture match. As we are growing we are paying more attention to other aspects of diversifying the labor (besides cultural diversity), but we would never reject a candidate if he/she/they don't fit any quota (we don't have any so far as we still need some time to get to the right scale to introduce any). I am ready to go the extra mile to give you more extensive clarification to any concerns you might have regarding the process or the decision taken by the Hiring Team to eliminate misunderstanding if any. Please reach out to me via email - dmytro@spread.ai
