I think SISA is an attractive place to do cutting-edge research and development related to consumer electronics. The people there are all highly educated professionals (most are Ph.Ds, if not all). They have very nice personalities and treat interviewees with respects. The entire interview process for a research position is pretty standard for people in academic/research communities: 1 hour presentation in the morning, followed up with 1-to-1 interviewing with management, team leaders, co-workers, and human resource persons. Lunch time is also used to exchange information from both sides. Mostly, the questions were centered around how your skills and background can match the group which is trying to hire a new person, and how other groups can also potentially benefit from your existence. There were other questions also: what drives your research/development, expectations for management, what do you want to do, etc. Overall, the entire process is in consistent with the mainstream practice, no big surprise, no torturing (often insulting) brain teasers, no coding on white boards (at least for a research position). I had a very pleasant experience with SISA and will definitely seriously consider career opportunities there, if I get an offer. Highly recommended!

Four interviews: a screening with HR, an Interview with the hiring manager, a 1:1 interview with a team member, and the final interview was a four-hour panel interview with a homework/take-home assignment presentation. Received a day's notice to complete a take-home. The take-home assignment was to craft a 1-hour presentation fulfilling a prompt that covered research design, planning/project management, scheduling execution, takeaways, and next steps. The panel interview was a 1-hour presentation, followed by two 1:1 interviews and a group interview, and ending with a debrief with the hiring manager. Negligible breaks, no lunch.
