Very unprofessional treatment. The interview with the hiring manager went well enough. Well I guess not “well enough”, since I was not selected for an offer. My problem is that I emailed and called the recruiter for follow-up, and never received a phone call or email back. I placed a second follow-up call and still the recruiter didn’t bother to respond. I didn’t even get the courtesy canned email telling me I didn’t get the position. How hard is it to send a canned email? Isn’t that part of a recruiters job? The only reason I found out anything definitive a month later, is that I have a friend who works there who tracked down the hiring manager to find out for me. I was told this recruiter is really bad at responding to people, even to internal employees who did not get the jobs they applied for internally. Perhaps it’s best I didn’t get the position if this is how they treat their people.
