The job posting for this position listed a pay range of $23.62-35.43/hr. I was scheduled for a virtual interview on 11/27/24, which was pretty standard with the questions that you would expect during an initial screening. The first red flag was that the recruiter stated that the pay for this role would be roughly $23-25/hr, which was not matching what they listed on their posting. I mentioned that this range given by the recruiter did not match the range on the posting to which the recruiter replied "all resumes will undergo a 'rating' system in which they will configure a pay based on experience level". This was not listed on the JD, but after I mentioned that it should be so it's not confusing to applicants, it was added days later.
I then had my second interview with the hiring manager 12/11/24. This interview went well. The hiring manager told me that they were planning to close this role out by January and that I would hear back from the recruiter by that Friday (12/13/24).
When 12/13/24 rolled around and I did not hear anything, I then had to reach out SEVERAL times for any information. I was told that they were planning to make a decision after the new year for this role. I then followed up on 1/13/25 and 1/29/25 to FINALLY receive an update that they had filled the position and "apologized for the delay.
Overall, this interview process was very poorly ran. There was a lack of communication between the hiring manager and the recruiter which ultimately trickled it's way down to me. I feel as if I've dodged a bullet here because if this is the standard interview process, I would really be hesitant to see how this organization runs and most likely end up hating working for such an unorganized company.
