Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite segnalazione di un dipendente. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (Pullman, WA) nel mese di gen 2016
Colloquio
First interview was HR come technical. I was supposed to get a call in the morning at 9.30 AM but I received it around 11.45 AM. Then HR asked me to hold the call for 15 minutes and then she rescheduled the interview at 4 PM same day. This time also she called me late at 4.20 PM. Asked few questions about SEL values and previous experience. Then she asked RLC questions. I gave correct answers to all the questions. Week after another HR scheduled an follow up interview with me and same day the I receive mail saying there won't be any followup interview and sorry for the confusion.

Long process, additional steps required. Overall good experience, First interview with hiring manager where they went over basic electronics questions (what is a mosfet, bjt, capacitor charging, rc circuit, kcl/kvl)
Interview with HR and then another technical (ADC basics, Nyquist Frequency, min bits, op amp ideal/nonideal, capacitor waveform relative to charging and discharging time, square wave input)

I got contacted by the manger to do a semi-formal small interview on Microsoft teams asking some questions with a few simple technical questions. I then was called to do a phone interview (but I already did one recently for the company for a different position so they just carried over the same notes). Then I did the 1 hr technical interview. This had a CMOS logic gate question (What is the logic expression of this given schematic), a simple list off ideal op amp properties question, a few RC circuit questions, and a few analog to digital questions. I managed to get most expect a specific question which needed to know what the Fourier transform of a square wave input looked like in order to prove why the steady state output of the capacitor had some noise. I did not make it to the next round but it would be a in person interview where you do a short presentation on a topic. It also seems like judging from their response email that they thought I did good but I wasn't strong enough when it came to the follow up questions that were "indented to stretch beyond the initial concepts". If I had to give advice and guess what they are looking for, I would say they want to see someone who can give very in depth and detailed answers. Or not. Making they are just interviewing to get data with no intent of hiring like every other company as they have had this job posting up for months now.
Domande di colloquio [1]
Domanda 1
Cmos logic gates, ideal op amp properties, RC circuit steady state and transient behavior, analog to digital: min bits to achieve a specific resolution.

The interviewer came across as quite rude and unprofessional. She made little eye contact and the conversation felt more like a tutoring session than an interview. When I struggled with a circuit question, she said they were looking for someone who could pick it up easily, then abruptly ended the call without even saying thank you.
