I had one in person interview that lasted about 30 minutes and was contacted a week later with a job offer. The interview had overall experience questions as well as a basic statistical knowledge.

There is no interview. You are required to submit a personal statement and a research interest statement, as well as a reference letter by a faculty. You submit that and wait for the results.
