First they called me for F2F Technical Interview.At the end of the interview they told me that they will get back to me. After that I did not get any communication from them for 1 month. After one month I got a communication from my consultant (who referred me for this position) that SIEMENS has kept this position on hold. So , I almost lost hope to get a job in SIEMENS. Surprisingly , after 1.5 months they contacted my consultant and communicate to her that I am shortlisted for the position. So they want all my professional documents for further processing my candidature. I had sent the same to them ASAP. After that again no communication for one more month. After one month they called me directly and told me that they are processing my offer. Before that I need to take up medical tests. That time I was 19 weeks pregnant , so I had some restrictions on taking up some tests (e.g X-RAY). That's why I directly called the manager who interviewed me for this position and informed him about my pregnancy.I also told him if my pregnancy is any roadblock for me to get the job then he can stop my recruitment process then and there so that I can avoid the medical tests. That time he contacted HR and called me back and informed me that company wanted to go ahead with my recruitment in spite of my pregnancy. After getting confirmation from him I went for medical tests and doctor gave me certificate that I am fit for taking up the job. I gave one declaration that I am around 20 weeks pregnant so I was not able to go for XRAY. Then I got joining letter from SIEMENS mentioning my joining date and they asked me to fill up on boarding form. They also booked air tickets for me so that I can join the induction program. But they were doing all these without issuing offer letter to me. I was very surprised. I waited for one week , then I called the concerned HR . She told me that my job at SIEMENS would not be possible at that moment as I was 20 weeks pregnant and they would not be able to give me maternity leave after 3 months of joining. I have no words to express how much I felt humiliated. I still not able to understand for what they have done all this things with me.Just because they are a Big Brand !!!
