To begin with, the potential employer was corresponding with me over text message, which was not the most formal way of communicating with a potential employee. Nonetheless, during this correspondence I scheduled an interview on a day and in a time suitable for both - as I was a student back then. However, when I turned up for my interview the secretary on the ground floor informed me that no one will be coming in today from the company. They were kind enough to contact the employer over the phone and I was able to arrange a new interview date and time - which to be frank was not really convenient as I had already made the effort to go there and skip one of my lectures. The excuse was more than absurd - the intern has scheduled the interview and has not let the manager aware of it. The actual interview went alright. I was told that I would receive an email in either case, which of course I never received.
