I had a great experience interviewing with Somewhere. The process was smooth, well organized, and very professional from start to finish. I especially want to highlight my recruiter, Natazha, who was absolutely wonderful throughout the process. She was kind, clear, supportive, and made the entire experience feel comfortable and positive. She communicated clearly at every step and truly cared about making sure I had a good experience. Overall, I had a very positive impression of Somewhere and would definitely recommend them to anyone going through a recruiting process.

Me postulé a un puesto de diseño y, para mi sorpresa, me enviaron una prueba de tipeo que no guarda ninguna relación con el rol ni con las responsabilidades del cargo. Personalmente, nunca había realizado ni participado en una evaluación de este tipo, y me pareció una falta de respeto. Entiendo que para ciertos trabajos escribir rápido y sin errores puede ser crucial, pero en diseño esa habilidad no aporta valor alguno. Buena suerte encontrando un diseñador que cumpla con todas las competencias del puesto y que además sea una máquina tipeando. La experiencia me dejó una muy mala impresión de la empresa, que se mostró deshumanizada y desconectada de la realidad del perfil que busca. I applied for a design position and, to my surprise, I was sent a typing test that has absolutely nothing to do with the role or its responsibilities. Personally, I had never taken or even heard of such an assessment for design, and I found it disrespectful. I understand that for certain jobs, typing fast and without mistakes might be essential, but in design this skill adds no value whatsoever. Good luck finding a designer who meets all the job requirements and also types like a racing car. The experience left me with a very poor impression of the company, which came across as dehumanized and completely disconnected from the reality of the role.

The interview process was smooth and well-structured. It began with an initial screening where I was asked about my background, design experience, and the tools I use. After that, I was given a design-related task to assess my creativity, attention to detail, and ability to follow a brief. In the final round, I had a video interview with the hiring manager, where we discussed my portfolio, past projects, and how I approach design challenges. Overall, it was a positive experience that gave me a good understanding of the role and the company culture.
