Phone interview, in person second interview with COO and CRO which went well and final interview with CEO. Final interview with CEO played out like an FBI interrogation with HORRIBLE people skills, the man approaches interviews as if the interviewee is there to lie. I'm uncertain if he is aware of how interviews are conducted in this country but it's a lesson he should try to learn. This is how this company treats people with years of experience in the interview stage, I was asked a ridiculous brain twister question along with indirectly being accused of lying throughout the process. CEO was antagonistic toward my suggestions about changing the website and continuously walked out of the interview while COO walked in. Entire process was disorganized where CEO did not even know who I was or what I was tasked to do in the small presentation I created until I walked into the interview. Stackadapt, you're a great service/product startup but you are going to drive away talent with this kind of acerbic style from your CEO. Please learn how to conduct proper interviews that aren't a one way street with the CEO, it's how you will retain talent and scale.

Why are you lying? Was the theme of this interview from the start.

recruiter reached out to me on linkedin and had 2 calls and asked for a video introduction, which i took the time to record and send over. this was over the course of a month. after that? nothing. no updates, no feedback—just ghosted. it’s not just unprofessional, it’s disrespectful.
if this is how they treat candidates who put in effort, i can only imagine what it’s like to actually work there. the whole process felt like a waste of time, and honestly, it left a bad taste in my mouth.
after this experience, i’d never apply to this company again. it’s not just about the poor communication—it’s the lack of basic courtesy that’s really concerning. if you’re thinking of applying, maybe think twice. there are plenty of companies out there that value people’s time and effort.
