      Colloquio per Project Coordinator

      13 mag 2019
      Candidato anonimo a colloquio
      Richmond, VA
      Nessuna offerta
      Esperienza negativa
      Colloquio difficile

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 4 mesi. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Steward School (Richmond, VA) nel mese di feb 2019

      Colloquio

I applied via email as instructed, and for the most part had a good volley of interest. I made it to round 4 of their highly complex process, and interviewed with every department imaginable. The email communication from HR was thorough and detailed, but on the ground, things seemed quite disorganized. I ended up not being hired for the position because they wanted to "broaden their search." The position wanted someone good in administration, technology, teaching, science, organization, and project management for under 50K. I did not have strength in one area, even though I communicated this very early on before flying out on my own dime to meet the entire school. I sent a thank you, and reenergized interest in another position. I was contacted and presented with 2 other options. I had a new phone interview with the sweetest HR coordinator, and then 5 days later (after going through a waiting period of 4 months for the other position) the person in charge said basically they didn't want to look at another candidate because they had so many already--after the HR person told me about the position. There was one last leftover position I was limping to apply for. I ultimately decided to turn it down because, even with all my experience, and their obvious interest, they were unable to truly articulate what they wanted in a candidate. Recap: I made it to the 4th round of interviews, and flew to meet with all the heavyweights at my own expense. I didn't hear back for almost a month. Then I was introduced to 2 other positions, which were quickly redacted because someone's plate was full, and then introduced to one last position, which I turned down after realizing I didn't want to work there afterall if the chaotic hiring expeirence was anything like the actual position . In summary, seemed like a good place to work, but too many hands in the pot, disorganization was rampant, no one appeared to know what they really wanted.
