There was only 1 individual offered this role that declined the offer, and we feel sad and confused that a negative experience has been highlighted without context being provided. We worked hard to make it a good experience, without constructive feedback we can’t rectify our process ☹. Many of our team moved to York to study and stayed in the city to join Stroud Resourcing, this takes courage, and we empathise with the challenges of living away from home, so if an applicant is in this same position, we lean towards understanding their commitment to living and building a life in York. On this occasion, this offer was accepted and later declined due to a change in living circumstances, this validates why it’s important to discuss this. The feedback from our copywriter who accepted this position is that they appreciated the time we invested in interviewing them. They loved our gestures of providing lunch, personalised offer letters, welcome cards, and chocolates. They also found the process easy, but the applicants who did not receive an offer didn’t.
