The MA typically lasts between 30-40 hours dependent upon the role, and our candidate dictates the schedule according to their availability and needs .We think of our MA process as a "paid peek behind the curtain," as well as the last part of the assessment process. This piece is all about the "mutual" benefits of joining TaxJar. Do we align on the work itself? Do we share the same set of values? Will YOU like the ways in which we work together to solve problems? We'd rather you find out during the assessment phase if TaxJar is for you, before you quit your job, or change your life. We want you to be 100% certain that you can do the best work of your career here at TaxJar. We think having an experience with the teams you'll work with, during the assessment phase is much more powerful and impactful upfront, than finding out 90 days in during a probationary period that you've misjudged the work or the place. That's why we put you in the driver's seat and give you the ability to really check out what it's like here. We pay you for that time. You'll get your hands and mind engaged as a way of discovering how this all works, but you won't be doing the job all the way until you begin with us full-time.
