Utterly ridiculous. First there was a face to face interview at a coffee shop that took about an hour. Next, I had fill out an insane amount of questionnaires, work history, academic history, provide multiple letters of recommendations, transcipts, write practically an autobiography as well as some passionate essay about why I wanted to teach disadvantaged children, pass an extensive background check, and more that slips my mind. Then there was a one on one web interview, also took around an hour, and then we had a multi panel interview, with several interviewees and interviewers to "compete" with, followed by another one on one again all of which took several hours. By the end of it I decided this was insane and if they are having these asks up front from a candidate I didn't want to know what actually working for them would be like. The whole thing reeked of a scam/exploitation. I understand it is a legitimate company, but they basically come out and say you will be over worked and under paid.

The interview was relaxed and they were certainly there to help. They made it clear they would help you through the whole process of becoming a teacher with your own mentor guiding you.
