Colloquio
I first went into the store without the intention of applying, I was there to help a friend. We started talking to the nice sales girl about how hard it is to find a job. She told me they were hiring and that they were looking for someone like me. She introduced me to a shift manager and even put in a recommendation for me, and told me to go online and put in my application. This consisted of a personality survey and the general questionnaire. The next day I got a call to set up my first interview.
I got there 15 minutes early, dressed in LAYERS(!) and talked to the sales girl I met the other day and asked for some pointers. She told me my open availability was a big plus, and I should emphasize on liking to help customers put together outfits (i guess up-selling).
So when the manager had time for me she took me to an empty corner of the store and asked me basic questions about where I'm from and why I wanted the job. I really thought I did well and focused on the big points and got good feedback from her. She ended the interview by telling me they'd get back to me in about 1-3 days.
After three days and no call, I called them and asked if I could speak with the manager because I still had not heard from them and I'd been in and out of cell service a lot. The girl told me they should've gotten back to me but the manager has been out of town and she'd be looking at applications again when she gets back.
Seven days after the first interview and still no contact I decided to call again. This girl asked me if I'd checked my spam folder because I should have received an email, and told me to check and get back to them. So I checked all possible accounts and found nothing, so I called back. She seemed frustrated and said they would've called for a second interview. And that they're actually not doing any hiring right now. I figured it was a nice way to tell me I didn't get the job so I said thank you and hung up. Four hours later, at 9 o'clock at night I get a call and it's another manager that would like to set up a second interview in five days.
So now I'm kind of confused as to what to think but I'm hoping the best for my next interview.

Super quick and easy. The woman who interviews me was very kind and understanding to it being my first retail job. I was offered a job on the spot and was able to ask any lingering questions I had about the role and profession.

Very simple. No behaviour questions. It was basically all about me. We talked about hobbies, availability, college plans. It was like a fun conversation and not a hard, daunting, scary interview.

They bring you in to ask basic interview questions. Make sure you completely dress the part. I was told before the interview by an associate that I should wear clothes they sell there. She didn't go into detail but I take that as they won't hire you if you don't.
