I wasn't too sure on this, it felt odd as I've never had to do this before. They then sent over a two page document of how the edit needed to be done which pretty much takes all the creative fun out of it. They also stated to leave room for subtitles which I found to be a massive red flag as it seemed they would use my test edit later. I chose not to do the test edit if they weren't going to pay me for my time.
