Spent considerable time applying for role, preparing for, and doing, multiple interviews. But was eventually told they had decided not to hire anyone for the position we interviewed for. Quite frustrating that they seemed to be interviewing for the role before management had discussed / decided whether or not they actually needed to fill the position. The people we interviewed with seemed nice and decent people, and they did feedback to us with the above information, so in all other aspects communication etc I cannot fault the process. But ultimately it was a waste of time. Don’t interview people for a role you haven’t decided for sure you want to fill!
