Applied for a contract opportunity through Transport for NSW. I was scheduled, and I spent time preparing to attend. Shortly before the scheduled date, the meeting was cancelled with zero explanation, no apology, and no follow-up communication whatsoever. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially from a government body that should be setting a professional standard. Candidates are real people who take time out of their day, rearrange schedules, and invest effort into these engagements. To be met with total silence is both discouraging and disrespectful. If this is how they treat candidates during the hiring process, it raises serious concerns about internal culture, communication, and respect for people’s time.
