After the usual personal fit telephone interview, I was invited to the AC to London. The AC consisted of a numerical test, one single presentation, one personal fit interview, one "technical" interview and one group discussion. The presentation and the group discussion were based upon a case which had literally nothing to do with trading, but I guess is just right for the 2nd year undergrad kiddies from UK schools. You could tell that the traders/interviewers were as bored listening to the presentations as the applicants were while presenting. The personal and technical interview were pretty superficial and the interviewers appeared to be forced to ask certain questions, according to a catalogue HR handed to them. Not suitable to identify suitable candidates at all. This bank definitely misses out on a lot of talent by sticking to this non-sense process.
