The original recruited I met with provided me with information for early promotion. I met all the guidelines and entered service as an E-3. He asked questions regarding personal background, a criminal background investigation was conducted, the job I applied for required additional background screening. The interview also consisting of various tests on basic Soldier skills such as APFT, Soldiers Creed, and Drills. After much time in the military, I feel like I may have been one of the lucky ones to receive an honest recruiter upon initial enlistment.
