Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite segnalazione di un dipendente. La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Uber (San Francisco, CA) nel mese di lug 2016

      Colloquio

The recruiter opened with telling me "I wasn't able to get a lot of info from the marketing team in time so I don't know too much about this role. I'm SO SORRY! Looking at your resume though, you seem like a good fit." She had me walk through my previous role from a high level and the role i played. Then she says "Um, let me see if I can get feedback from my colleague and if he thinks you're the right fit." She then proceeds to read out loud her message as she's typing it to him on her computer. "one of us should reach out by early next week!" The following Friday I received an auto-decline from their internal system, not the recruiter. It felt very disrespectful of my time and unprofessional on this recruiter's part.

      Colloquio

Recruiter screening call. It takes a lot 30 mins and then followed by a hiring chat (30 min) to cover your background, role overview and how they align with my experience.

      Colloquio

I went through full interview processes with Uber in the past and they went well, but this has been a frustrating experience. I had an interview with a recruiter and after waiting 15 minutes for her call, she sent an email saying that the position was ‘put on hold’ and was cancelling our meeting for ‘later in the day’. After some back and forth she continued giving excuses, saying that her email didn’t send the scheduled cancellation email (at 9am, 2 hours before our call, why would she schedule a cancellation email 2 hours before the call if she knows that the role has been ‘put on hold’?). Needles to say, the role is still live. Companies keep hiring armies of recruiters that keep repelling serious talent with their unprofessional behaviors. When is the industry going to do something about it? It is such a waste of time. At least consider people’s time and have the decency of not lying to candidates.
