I applied online... Quickly I received an email asking me to do a interview on the computer. It is super easy and laid back. Not like a skype session (which I would have assumed). It's more like taking an essay test except you are recording your answers via webcam, and you can't really get the answers wrong. There were about 6 questions.. I forget now exactly what they were (im sure they are on here) but they give you 30 seconds to prepare and 3 minutes to answer... which is more than enough time. WIthin the next week I was notified that I had advanced to a face to face interview at Newark airport. I arrived that morning and met the other interviewees. We all had to sit in a corner together so it's not like you have to put yourself out there you are literally almost forced to talk. It all seemed very natural once I sat down with the other hopefuls. Everyone was very nice! They then came said hello and good morning and took us to a United section of the airport. We got name tags, went to a room, and watched an informational video. They gave out a worksheet with basic info and asked if we had any questions. Some people asked... I don't think it was a must. Then candidates were called back one at a time for 1:1 interviews with a FA that currently works for United(~45 mins). I got called back relatively quickly. I might have been more nervous if I had to wait. My interviewer was so sweet and the interview seemed natural. I had read what to expect online and felt a bit prepared by they are all common sense questions asked, nothing tricky. I found my interviewer sharing some things with me about her personal life as I did the same with her. Like i said it was all very natural and I felt comfortable... a bit nervous and excited but comfortable none the less. After my interview I thanked her and as she walked me out into the hallway she asked if I minded meeting some more of her colleagues. I knew that I had made it to the next round. They moved me to a small area with a few of the people I had seen earlier in the day. Again they called us back one by one. This interview was with 2 people in a tiny room. It was so quick.. I want to say no more 10 min, maybe even 5. They then said let us talk in the hallway, disappeared for 2 seconds, came back in and offered me the job. After I was offered the job the immediately put you into training classes in the near future, you do a ton of paperwork, and are brought down for physical testing (hearing, sight, drug test) So there you have it a general overview of what to expect... I arrived at the airport at 8:30 and I want to say got to my physical at like 1:30?? But this may differ depending on when they call you back. Hope this helps!! Good Luck!
