The process took 4+ months. Applied online on UN human resources gateway, received an email asking for my availability approximately 3 months later. One month after that I received an email inviting me for a brief skype interview. The interview was extremely brief--they only asked one question.

Skill based interview with 3 interviewers. Asking specfic skill based questions of how you responded to situations, to go deeper from your application answears, to share details of how you have gained skills and would contribute to a team, and why you wish to work in this department specifically
It's based on a competency-based interview, and it went well. It was friendly and informative as well. There are a few of general questions and a few of technical questions. Overall, a good experience.
