      Colloquio

      A recruiter had reached out to me and set up a meeting with an HR person who told me about the company and what the interview process would be like. Next, I had a meeting with two Engineering Managers from two different teams. Nothing technical. They wanted to get an understanding of my previous experience and my future career goals. The next meeting was with two backend engineers. It was technical and challenging but there was no code involved. The feedback I got after this stage was that they like me a lot but wanted someone stronger for the Backend Developer role. They suggested that I interview for an open role as a Developer in Test. I agree to interview for that role and it was conducted by two recent hires who had both been with the company for less than a year. I was told that it would be the last interview but then Voi had told the recruiter that they would like to talk to me again. The recruiter retorted that it shouldn't be necessary because, by that time, I had dedicated over 4 hours of time interviewing over the course of a month. Now, this is where things get weird. The recruiter tells me that Voi said that I am hired because I would make a good cultural and technical fit but that they couldn't decide which role I would fit best in. Then, about a week later, the recruiter tells me that Voi rescinded their employment offer because their thought was that they didn't have any open roles that would match my career goals. Not once did they ever talk to me about what was available and what I would like to do to see if there was a potential match. Never had I ever been offered employment and then had that offer taken back. This showed me that Voi does not know what they want and it is evident from other reviews that I am not the only person who found their process to be an ultimate was of time.

      Hi, First off, I'm sorry to hear that you've had this experience in a recruitment process at Voi. Job offers are always extended from our own Voi staff, never by recruiters from external agencies. If a recruiter has told you that you've been hired only to rescind the offer a week later, this is something we take very seriously and would like to get in contact with you to learn more about this.
