it's a Skype type of video chat session in which they give you problems to teach as mini lessons under a time limit. The stupidest thing is that you don't have to get all those questions right in order to be "certified" for that particular subject. This is a lot simpler than the Princeton Review one since the Varsity tutor problems are purely academic. You do not even need a personality, charisma, or eloquence to be able to pass the mediocre interview for Varsity Tutors. So much for the tutors being qualified.
