Colloquio
Hr called and told that only 1 technical round and next would be hr round. Same day I had interview with a lady from Colombo. It looked like she made a list of general Java and selenium interview questions and asked each one after the other. It was very basic and easy.
2 days later a HR called and this was the worst part. Even though all details about my previous employment and academics were right in the resume which was with him, he kept asking my 10th marks, year of passing, and similarly for +2 and graduation. Then he took note of each of my joining and leaving year of my previous companies though he was also seeing them in my resume. He then started asking what my dad, mom, brother, wife are doing and where they are working and all details which seemed very irrelevant. By this time I was getting frustrated but kept my calm. Now he asked expected salary and it was beyond their range and he tells me that it is not possible and we ended the call.
Firstly he asks all irrelevant details about family and all other details which were already in resume and the main part which is expected salary comes towards the end. Some much time would not have been wasted if this was the first question. Virtusa already has a bad reputation for work ethics. This HR just proved the kind of people that exists in the organisation.

Colloquio
I recently attended the Virtusa walk-in drive for an Automation Testing position. There were around 100+ candidates who appeared for the role, so the competition was quite high.
The interviewer was friendly and approachable, which made the environment comfortable. The interview started with some basic programming questions, which I had to write on paper
Overall, the interview was easy to moderate in difficulty, but the interviewer had clear expectations — he wanted detailed and precise answers, not just surface-level knowledge.
It was a good learning experience that highlighted the importance of clarity in explaining concepts, along with strong hands-on coding skills.

After that, he moved on to Selenium-related coding tasks, such as:
Writing code to take a screenshot in Selenium
Writing code to switch between multiple windows
Then he asked a few theoretical and conceptual questions, covering topics like:
What are the various testing techniques you have used?
API testing (especially GET methods and status/error codes)
Automation framework architecture and how I’ve implemented it in projects

Colloquio
I was contacted by an HR representative who promptly followed up with an email containing all the job requirements and requested the Virtusa TAG screening information. I responded to the email the same day.
The next day, he quickly scheduled a technical interview. The interview itself was quite straightforward, covering basic questions along with a few from my resume. Overall, the experience was good.
However, after the interview, I did not receive any further communication from HR — even after waiting for over two weeks. The lack of follow-up was disappointing, especially after such a prompt initial process.

Had 2 rounds of interview. Technical round and Manager round.
1st round was ok. Most of the questions are from your resume. In Manager round, most of the questions are irrelevant to both JD and the profile.
