I had Hampton Inn experience and some management experience from another hotel. Since that one was on its way out of business, I walked into the closest Hampton Inn to my house and the GM was working the front desk with the AGM at the time when I asked for an application. They needed someone who would be able to work Night Audit occasionally because they had an extremely unreliable weekend employee so I was hired after I spoke with the GSM. All I had to really do is sell my prior experience.
