The first round interview process was smooth, although abrupt in scheduling. The interviewer was very sincere and warm and it felt like we had a conversation instead of an interview. She was really enthusiastic about our conversation and strongly emphasized the possibility of second round interviews before our conversation was over, like good match with current manager and promises to leave good comments. As an interviewee, this naturally gives you hope.
However, I did not hear back anything after the first round by the promised date. When I finally reached out after waiting, I was told that I did not proceed to the next round (by the CEO which seemed to be in charge of messages) after what seemed like a hopeful process. 1. This is super poor communication by leadership since I would have been ghosted if I did not reach out myself. 2. This process gave candidates false hope that they would proceed to the next round. The interviewer is not at fault, but the process need to be managed by the leadership team with increased transparency. It is true when others mention poor leadership structure. I would advise all my peers against working for this organization. Some employees in the organization may be nice, but the leadership lacks in structure and it showed in the interview process.
