I was already an associate, I completed the phone interview in about 30 minutes. It consisted of about a half dozen questions. Each was a 3 to 5 part question, on experiences, how I solved problems. The answers are based on what is called the STAR program. Situation, Task, Action and Resolution. These interviews are easier for current associates as they most likely will have experience with at least some of the panel members, and will have a background and experiences that are routed in Wal-Mart culture.

As a leader, you are required to be a role model for others. Describe what you have done to ensure your words and actions are consistent with being a leader and a role model when you have been challenged with breaking a rule.
It was a straightforward interview, with no trick questions. The store lead was very helpful she gave me a tour throughout the entire store and that the conclusion of the interview she asked was are still interested in the position. I had a follow up interview the following day.

the process was intense but very informative. The interview was lengthy and had to answer a lot of questions about management. It could be a great place to work at.

I completed the on-line application only. I found Walmart's on-line application process to be very helpful for me, it enabled me to see my strengths and some weaknesses. In addition to job related questions about my competencies, the company also presented a video of workplace scenarios - situational interviews.
