Was directly recruited by an internal HR recruiter from West Monroe. Was a positive experience, where my first phone interview was just formalities. Make sure I am who I say I am etc etc.
Second phone interview was 2 days later, with my direct team lead - was semi technical. My vertical is a technical role and if you don't know what you're talking about you should know right away. Because I am qualified I was able to talk the talk and the phone call was more an informal conversation with the lead and his partner.
Was invited for an in-person interview the same week on Friday. The interview was supposed to be 2-3 hours long and I was told that it would be team meet and greet, quick background about myself and history, then case study with team lead (phone call person) and one person who would be my same level.
The case study was a simple open ended project management + financials + technnical assessment of what an actual client problem would be (it was an actual client problem they faced two years prior). They acted as the client and I was the consultant 'selling them' the technical and project solution that West Monroe would provide. There were probing questions and I was able to ask anything I wanted - was both a professional aptitude test and a technical skills assessment IMO.
This went well and I could feel the energy in the room was positive.
The next Monday/Tuesday I had a verbal offer. And a written offer after some contract negotiation by the next Friday. I started at the 1st of the next month. Total process was about 15-20 days including weekends from interview to start date - I was also given the opportunity to start the next next month if needed. But I was already half way out the door at my previous employer.
Highly recommend working here. Very fast paced and technically demanding but a great working environment and great people and projects - which is hard to find in the consulting world.

I submitted an application because I met all of the Required Qualifications of the job description. I was contacted by internal Talent Acquisition at West Monroe, and we set up a phone screen. He asked me to give my 5-10 minute background of myself so I laid out my expertise, then he asked me if I had any specific experience with a certain sub-industry/domain and I said no but that I've ramped on new topics quickly in all of my previous roles so would be prepared to do so again. He said that experience was non-negotiable for the team then ended the call. No where in the job description is that stated, otherwise frankly I wouldn't have applied or spent time prepping for it. I sent email feedback stating they should add that to the required qualifications instead of burying it in desired, but the job description has not changed.
3rd party HR reached out and then had a multi round teams interview with the team. Case study was given and needed to be provided back the next day. They reviewed and the whole process took less than 2 weeks.

what are the different areas that one should think about when accessing a IT implementation project?
I had a very disappointing experience during the interview process with West Monroe. The HR representative asked numerous questions that were unrelated to the role I applied for, and some even bordered on probing into confidential details about my current job — which made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
The tone came off as rude and invasive rather than professional or engaging. To make matters worse, the interviewer did not leave any time at the end for me to ask questions about the company or the role. It felt like a one-sided interrogation rather than a two-way conversation.
Overall, I left the interview with a negative impression of the company culture. Based on my experience, I would advise others to proceed with caution or consider looking elsewhere.
