My first answer is that I was born and raised in the Midwest, and my family still lives in the area. At the time, I lived on the West Coast, and wanted to be closer to family. One interviewer took exception, stating that there were other avionics and aerospace companies in the Midwest, so why specifically Rockwell Collins? Simply put, because I had worked with Rockwell Collins as a supplier and as a partner, and I was impressed with their professionalism, competence, and easy-going manner. I thought that Rockwell Collins and I would be an excellent match, and so far I was absolutely right.
