The phrase "think outside of the box" comes to mind; in previous experiences, I may have used it too loosely. We all have those moments of self-reflection. After this experience, I asked myself if I wanted a job that settled for complacency or if I wanted to work for a company that would challenge me, support my growth and development, help me succeed, and cheer me on. Here is my interview experience. I interviewed for a Strategic Lead position. I received a scheduled interview and researched my interviewers to gain insight into my upcoming discussions. I was very impressed with their professional growth. I asked myself, can I see myself working with these individuals as leaders? Interviewing is a two-way street. It's easier for me to turn the interview into a conversation. I moved on to the exercise, and the instructions mentioned the importance of stretching and pushing toward understanding something new. I reminded myself of this throughout the process. I was provided reading materials and understood the reason behind the ambiguity of the assignment, but this allowed me to be creative and put my spin on the project. I knew that even if I couldn't execute on everything I put my best foot forward and made sure I had fun with it. HR communicated with me during the interviewing and exercise preparation process and encouraged me as I brainstormed my concepts. They, too, showed up to the activity to cheer me on! I presented my exercise and left the building with a sense of accomplishment, pride, and humility. I enjoyed accepting the challenge, seeing it through, and meeting the leadership team and other Leads and Operational Team Members. I knew that no other interview would compare after taking on this challenge. But that made me want the job even more! Scared? Do it anyway! Not qualified? Get in the room anyway. Imperfect and unsure? Show up anyway! Comfort is the enemy of growth. Get uncomfortable.

Was reached out to by the recruiter on LinkedIn 1:1 interview with Commercial Lead 1:1 Interview with a VP Group Presentation It was a positive experience until the presentation assignment. Their presentation assignment is incredibly vague. The recruiter said, they just want to see how candidates think and that there is no right or wrong. There IS right and wrong, but they won't tell you where you went wrong or give you any meaningful feedback. Presentation assignment turned out to be a tremendous waste of time causing me significant stress in the process. If this is how they treat people during the interview one can only guess how they treat their actual employees. Don't waste your time on this company.
