Proactively sought for position based on my industry relevant experience. Multiple telephone interviews and then one in-person rapid fire interview day. Seemed extremely protracted process as if the hiring process was not a priority. HR rep deferred every question and action to the hiring manager.

First a phone screen with HR contact followed by a virtual interview with the hiring manager after applying online. Felt good about the info the HR partner shared and his transparency in the company's rebuild. Interview with hiring manager also seemed great. She was impressive and had had a great background that I thought I could learn from. Did sense that there was a bit of a disconnect regarding what the role actually would entail vs what I was looking for but didn't come away thinking that it was a deal breaker. Never got an explicit statement clarifying. Thought both conversations went well and then... got ghosted.

I applied online and was contacted a couple of weeks later by the hiring manager. He set up an on-site interview with himself and one other person. Interview was very friendly and relaxed. Offer was extended the next week.
