1. Applied through LinkedIn 2. Recorded videos answering a few questions on a platform. The platform did not work on mobile devices, and had accessibility issues. The deadline given for this stage was short, and the recruiter was on AL at the time so I wasn’t able to get the technical issues addressed. 3. An interview with hiring manager, who was also due to go on AL and refused to reschedule the interview which was booked in short notice whilst I was away from home. Wasn’t given an opportunity to prepare adequately. 4. Phone feedback of rejection with dishonest feedback. Disregarded the feedback I gave about above, and told me I should have tried to reschedule (I did). Internally referred candidate got the job, in the end - so feels like the outcome was predetermined anyway.

Found the job in LinkedIn and applied through the company site. 1 week later I was invited for an on-demand video interview with a series of questions, including tell us about yourself, why I would be a good fit, what would my colleagues say about me, and a couple of name a time when style questions. 3 days later I was then progressed to a 2nd stage interview which was a Teams call with the manager for the position, and a colleague from the SEO team, and 6 days later I was invited to a 3rd stage interview, again with the manager of the position as well as another senior team member, and the hiring manager. The final interview lasted for over an hour, and I had to prepare a 20 minute presentation answering three questions on PPC for retail, an example campaign set-up, and the risks and opportunities I saw in PPC for the next year. I was asked some quite challenging technical questions around upcoming changes to audience targeting, and the reasoning behind my set-up choices, as well as in-depth questions around my work experience and career history. Around a week later I was offered the position. Overall, a very challenging interview that really tested me as a candidate!
