the training and resources are acceptable and most of the staff are nice (Except from a particular member of staff in the payroll department who never missed a chance to be politely rude, so as to speak). Each and every one of the students, however, are absolutely lovely people and a pleasure to teach.

Everything else really : The administration of the job is highly inefficient, the system used to file end of month hours is complete madness, involving a remote desktop application, multiple confusing programs to simply input hours and last but not least, once all that is finished, you have to inform admin staff you have completed the maze through the system and book a meeting with them, while remembering to re-inform them (before the meeting) that your hours have been inserted into the system. THE PAY : 14 pounds per hour INCLUDING holiday pay (which is illegal as stated clearly on the Inland Revenue webpage "Government guidance states: “Holiday pay should be paid for the time when annual leave is taken. An employer cannot include an amount for holiday pay in the hourly rate (known as 'rolled-up holiday pay'). If a current contract still includes rolled-up pay, it needs to be re-negotiated.” Therefore, what the real hourly rate comes down to is in reality 12.50 £ per hour. Remembering this is pro-rata, and classes are 45 minutes long (so you're not actually paid the 12.50£ for every lesson, but instead, 9.40 £ per lesson. So - the pitiful £9.40 includes - lengthy administration, class preparation, teaching, after class report and also, being repeatedly pressured to the point of harassment to follow and make sure the students used the extra 7speaking online learning platform and assigning tasks on that platform (which again, is totally user unfriendly, highly inefficient for the teacher to navigate - and may I also add, embarrassingly terrible content which no student enjoyed using) By rough calculation for the amount of work I was doing - that 9.40£ per lesson sure went a hell of a long way !
