Used to feel like a thriving business

The company feels like it's on the edge of going out of business. Sure, it has a bunch of cash in the bank that it can use to operate for a few years, but that continues to dwindle. Despite having all that cash, it recently laid off 1/5 of employees - not the poor performers or least experienced - the most experienced and some of the best employees - the ones that were costing the most. Don't work here. The executive team grows less and less diverse and the work/life balance is eroding quickly.
