Vantaggi

Opportunity for advancement, consistent job that you'll never risk losing if you do your job. Field consultants who are interested in developing you and teaching you. Potential for bonuses.

Svantaggi

No maximum work hours. Many managers work 6 to 7 days a week and/or 10-12 hour days. Granted this is usually due to not training staff and having control issues, however this culture has permeated the whole market and has everyone feeling like they need to work far far beyond 40 hours per week. Many managers not to take of 2 days at a time. Many field consultants and other managers will tell you that you may need to work 16 hour days until your store is perfect and after that then you can relax.... Unrealistic expectations from field consultants - not in the tasks themselves, usually regarding time lines. It is impossible to finish all tasks you have planned for a day. 24 hours in call. If your staff are not independent, you will receive calls from the store every single day. Turning your off days into another stressful work day. Bonus difficult to obtain in first 3 to 6 months.

Vantaggi

Pay, Schedule Flexibility and Local Teams - That is where the pro's stop

Svantaggi

Upper Management don't seem to have a clue! They do cuts throughout the company every 2 to 3 years just to hire back/hire new people into roles they eliminated 6 months earlier. They say they value people and their concerns but the majority of workers say nothing about the toxic work environment created by Zone Leaders and above in fear of being singled out. They create positions that don't add value to the field and add more and more work onto field staff. Size of areas continually change - first its 10, then 12, then 16, back to 12 and back to 14+ stores. No consistency in there direction, they train you to manage the whirlwind but the problem is...... they create the whirlwind! Upper Management is a do as I say, no questions asked
