AMN is where I started my career and with its vast number of divisions, the opportunities for growth can seem endless. AMN values its employees and the growth and development of its team members. The opportunities for improvement are readily available through partnerships with LinkedIn and other third party resources. Joining a team with a well-established and healthy culture is important in any position and with AMN, you can find so many opportunities where the culture provides a positive experience. The benefits, when available, are relevant in retaining employees in some circumstances. The availability of HR and LTD (Learning and Talent Development) is without pause and the numerous ERGs available to all AMN employees can provide a separate network of staff members. ERGs are critical in some agencies and within AMN, there are 10 to select from. All of which have a purpose and a meaning and can leave a lasting impact. The support system within AMN is incredible and the pay structure allows employees of all experiences to have the eligibility to land a position with their preferences in mind.

Part of belong to a corporation can sometimes lead to invisibility for some. Our leadership could improve on recognition and support of their employees. Not speaking in teams of direct leaders/reports, but more ULL that check in on their staff. More individual connects and more time to step back and away from the daily work load and reconnect with the members on a personal/professional level. Being that majority of the staff members are remote/virtual employees, the sense of belonging can be difficult and without belonging to an ERG, a staff member might feel secluded from their department/division. Allowing more of a budget for team building exercises, in person events (travel included for remote employees) and recognition gifts can truly help retain certain individuals. It's understandable that not all employees thrive on gifts or interaction, but considering our current societal means - it's important to retain that connection through physical interaction and togetherness. Third party/virtual entities have seen an influx in participation, because of this hybrid environment, so more offerings of these types of events could be beneficial for our members.
