Svantaggi
Micro-managing CEO Rampant cronyism Doesn't move with industry trends Low pay No advancement unless you make the right friends Claims of open and modern work environment untrue The biggest problem is that this company doesn't seem to live up to its claims. For example they advertise that they have two large movie rooms, but the CEO canceled movie day so they are largely for decoration. Additionally, they claim to be an open-minded, cool place to work, but expect company wide emails regarding such things as walking on the grass too soon after it's cut or using the wrong doors to enter and exit the building. There's also no room for advancement. They claim to have a flat structure that keeps work from becoming a rat race. Then the CEO and CTO promote their friends into senior positions or hire them into senior positions from the outside. Meanwhile those that have earned titles are left in the cold. The last problem is that no one seems to want to adhere or at least be aware of industry trends. Blog articles from companies such as google , Netflix and Amazon are often sent out but there is no effort to discuss or implement the ideas contained in them so they simply lie dormant. If you come from a shop that reacts to hanging trends expect to unlearn everything you picked up and re-learn the wrong way. Things like agile, scrum, kanban, cloud and devops will exist in name only. They are so slow to market that at the time of this writing the only existing mobile app is written and maintained by a customer.
