Vantaggi

Products and services have the potential to tremendously assist the healthcare industry with daily Medicare admittance and billing tasks. Workplace culture is easy going, casual, and a number of employees care deeply about performing their job effectively and efficiently.

Svantaggi

Although product potential is high, many of the aspects of the main product is being molded to suit lines of businesses for which it was not intended. Company's main focus is sales; there is a general sense of turning blind eye to known issues. Customer importance and retention not of importance until account becomes critical and at risk of cancel. Customer support department does their best in spite of rapid turnover, intermittent re-organization of the department, and general feeling of under-appreciation. All training is learn as you go, ask questions, not much as far as legitimate documentation for supporting products, and no formal training despite employee requests. Lack of communication within and between departments.

Vantaggi

Beautiful environment to work in. Great downtown location on the bus lines. Free soda, coffee, and fruit. Casual dress. All of the people in the company are awesome - smart but very friendly and helpful. I worked for ABILITY for 3.5 years, specifically in the Marketing Department. The employees in the Marketing department are amazing - incredibly smart, forward thinking, helpful and fun. I felt that we all cared about each other and had each other's backs. The VP of Marketing, John Porricolo (who I reported to the majority of my career there) was honestly the best boss I ever had. He encouraged me to grow as an employee and as an individual, and he believed in my talents and abilities. When I doubted myself he would encourage me - this allowed me to learn many new things and see what I was capable of. I learned SO much in my time at ABILITY - skills and knowledge that I am now applying at my new job.

Svantaggi

ABILITY is a company going through a huge growth phase. They are in that "awkward" stage of going from a small company to a large one, so they are in the process of putting procedures and workflows solidly into place. Things move quickly, and can sometimes feel hectic, chaotic, or disorganized, but it's also really exhilarating and fun. You are never bored and there is rarely a dull moment! I believe the growth will also allow for opportunities to grow/move up in the company in the future.
