I've been treated better as a contractor - Recensione dipendente - Field Service Technician presso Access Media 3

Was promised tools, adequate training, badge, shirt w logo, access to systems, test equipment during interview. Never got it. Just a laptop and a Super Buddy with a defective rechargeable battery. Often outlets aren't available in the field. Was put in one building that was considered their worst and were in danger of losing for 3 weeks of training. Didn't get much training there, because my trainer was busy working jobs. This building had cable modem, voip, and MFH2 Direct TV sat. Learned to install and troubleshoot all. Problem is, other buildings have DSL and ethernet for internet and are configured with a combination of MFH1 and MFH2. Was thrown out in the field after another tech was fired along with my Supervisor. Was sent to troubleshoot DSL when I wasn't even trained to install it. And install and troubleshoot MFH1 without ever seeing it before. I got let go after 1 weeks because I was "taking too long on my jobs". Two hours later, I find out now the Manager was let go afterwards. So the whole management team at our warehouse was eventually let go in the month I was there. Can't say neither deserved their jobs. Hopefully, the next team is much better. All of this was told to the HR Manager. She said she would investigate and get back to me. She didn't. Can't say I blame her. She didn't want to put herself on the line just for me. I was hired at the wrong time I guess.
