Leadership remains heavily North America–centric, with limited understanding of international markets. The default solution to challenges in APAC or EMEA is often to send in a North American leader or replicate a North American process, rather than investing in capable regional talent who understand the market. There are also concerning cultural issues at senior levels. Instances of poor behaviour and bullying are known internally but not addressed, largely due to personal relationships and complacency among executives. This creates an unsafe environment and erodes trust in leadership. Pay and equity are also ongoing issues. Salaries are not competitive with the market, and there appears to be a gender pay gap where older male employees are compensated more favourably than high-performing women in equivalent roles. Employee benefits lag behind industry standards. The Australian parental leave policy, for example, has received consistent feedback from employees through multiple channels (surveys, leadership Q&As, direct feedback to HR and executives) for years, with no meaningful change. Leadership responses to this feedback have been dismissive and out of touch
